Jason O’Callaghan Biography



Barely passing his exams in school, Jason O’Callaghan worked as a waiter until he was 23, when after studying the great motivators such as Napoleon Hill and W.Clement Stone he got the motivation to change his life and return to college to study journalism.

Journalist

By the time he was 26 he was the co-writer of the most popular page in the most widely read newspaper in his home country of Ireland. The same year (1999) he co-founded ShowBizIreland.com, the first online entertainment site in Ireland and followed that up with becoming entertainment editor of one of Ireland’s biggest magazines.

Entertainer

Not content with taking on the world of media in 2002 he then moved into the music industry, and aged 29, took to the stage when he founded The Irish Rat Pack show not just as producer and director but also as performer. The show has now performed over 1,000 times around Ireland and further afield.

Seen as Ireland’s best wedding, corporate and party band. Jason wedding band have performed for over 100,000 guests at wedding from Dublin to Donegal. He has also recently brought his comedy hypnosis show to the private wedding market by offering it as part of his wedding package around Ireland. Which now offers church music, drinks reception wedding music, main wedding band and wedding DJ service.

Author/Producer

At 32, Jason wrote his first bestselling book Confessions of a Gossip Columnist and followed that up by producing his first album The Return of the Big Band. In 2007 he produced his second album with Westlife star Brian McFadden. After three years performing at over 100 events a year  Jason wanted to reconnect with the passion that drove him to change his life, and he returned to college to study the secrets of the mind which he had gained so much out of personally as a young man.

Award Winning Psychologist

In 2008 not content with leaving any ambitions unfulfilled, Jason returned to college as a full time student (while continuing to perform at night time) to complete a degree in Psychology. He gained a 2.1 Honours degree, then followed that up with a Masters degree in Applied Psychology from the world famous Trinity College.
Jason was named on the college roll of honour for his research into the effects of hypnosis on cancer patients to help them reduce stress and anxiety. During this time he also trained in clinical hypnotherapy, CBT and Counselling, and volunteered for over four years in the mental health sector to better understand the workings of the human mind.

The D4 Clinic

In 2011 Jason opened his first Psychology/Hypnotherapy clinic The D4 Clinic and wrote his second book Get the Life Your Deserve-29,000 Days, which has featured on a variety of national and international TV and Radio shows.  The aim of The D4 Clinic is to save lives. Helping people to lose weight, quit smoking, gain confidence and change their lives using the power of their minds.

Jason is regularly hired for corporate and social events in Ireland and abroad to perform his motivational hypnosis show to demonstrate the power of the unconscious mind. He lives in Dublin Ireland with his partner and two children. In 2014 he was asked by the Irish Government to run as a candidate in the local elections.
